Firmly Persistent
Episode 7: Firmly Persistent
Your calendar is crazy. The noise of the world is loud. And somewhere in the muddy middle of your writing project, the excitement wore off and discouragement crept in. In this episode, Becky makes the case that the only thing powerful enough to carry you through is knowing your WHY—your God-given purpose. Through the lens of Paul’s calling in Romans 1 and Acts 9, and backed by 1 Corinthians 15:58, Becky walks through what purpose really means, how passion points to it, and how your WHY empowers you to live beyond the crazy calendar and into the perseverance God designed you for.
Key Scripture
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” — 1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT)

What Your WHY Does for You
Purpose = a meaningful sense of direction that makes a positive impact beyond me.
When you know your WHY, it becomes:
- A compass for your decisions
- The motivation to persevere
- The driving force that carries you through the hard days
Your WHY empowers you to live beyond your crazy calendar and into the reason God put you on this earth.
Write On! Step
Step 1: Make a list of your passions — everything that makes your heart sing. Summarize them and let them point to your purpose.
Step 2: Write your WHY statement and post it somewhere visible:
I am writing this because God has called me to __________, and the person who needs to hear this is __________.
On the discouraging days, read it out loud. Let your WHY carry you through.
