Keep in Step Lifestyle
Episode 5: Keep-In-Step Lifestyle
Social media tells you to be a leader, not a follower. But Jesus never once said that—He said, follow me. In this episode, Becky Meyerson unpacks what it actually means to keep in step with the Holy Spirit in your writing life, why following His lead is the opposite of playing it safe, and how the "rules" of writing and publishing can become a harness of exhaustion when they replace the Spirit's guidance. True freedom for the Christian author isn't found in doing everything right. It's found in matching your stride to His.

Write On! Step
In your journal, answer:
Where am I most tempted to follow the "rules" instead of following the Spirit?
Then write and speak this declaration out loud:
"I am free. I choose to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit in my writing life. His pace is perfect, and His leadership will never let me down."
What Does "Follow" Mean?
The word follow as a transitive verb means:
- To pursue a way of life
- To obey authority and act in accordance
- To imitate and copy after
- To take your place and keep abreast
That's not timid. That's intentional. That's decisive. That's the life of a Kingdom writer.
