Tune Your Ear

Season #1

Write On! Sisterhood Podcast Episode 3: Tune Your Ears

Life is loud—your schedule is busy, your phone won't stop buzzing, and somewhere underneath all of it, God is speaking. In this episode, Becky Meyerson explores what it means to actually tune your ear to His voice instead of drifting toward whatever shouts the loudest. Using the picture of a tuning fork—made to resonate with the frequency it's near—Becky walks through the noise competing for your attention and four practical ideas for creating a sacred space where you can hear God clearly again.

Key Scripture

"Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding." — Proverbs 2:2 (NLT)

4 Ideas for a Sacred Space

  1. Be Intentional — decide on purpose that this matters enough to protect.
  2. Understand Your Rhythms — find your consistent half hour, whenever that is for you.
  3. Remove Distractions — name what pulls you away (screens, clutter, to-do lists, a wandering mind).
  4. Own Your Sacred Space and Time — a specific place, a specific time, an ambience that settles your heart.

Write On! Step

In your journal, answer:

  • What's the loudest voice in your life right now — and is it the one shaping you?
  • Where will your sacred space and time be? Name the place, the time of day, and one distraction you'll remove.
  • Write a short prayer of commitment to tune your ear to God's voice.
