Do you consider yourself a warrior - strong and mighty like an army?

One of my new favorite Hebrew words is hayil (in the Blue Letter Bible) or chayil (used by other study resources).

It means strength, might, efficiency, wealth, army, force, power and ability.

Hayil 

Hayil doesn’t just describe an army of men but includes the warrior woman – YOU!

There are many virtuous (hayil) and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all! Proverbs 31:29

Who can find a virtuous (hayil) woman, for her price is far above rubies? Proverbs 31:10 KJV

So now, my daughter, do not fear. I will do for you whatever you say, for all my people in the city know that you are a woman of excellence (hayil). Ruth 3:11

The Bible strategically uses hayil to describe the warrior woman!

Friend, you were created to RISE UP AND FIGHT in God’s strength and make an eternal impact in your circles of influence – starting in your homes and extending to the world.

YOU ARE a warrior woman and God's strength empowers you. Let me remind you of 3 promises: 

1. God has given you his Word as a sword.
   • Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17
   • For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12
2. You are clothed with strength and dignity. 
   •  She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25
   •  Bold power, beauty, honor, and excellence are wrapped around you!
3. God has given you weapons to demolish strongholds. 
   • We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 2 Corinthians 10:4
   • Don’t fight your battles with human weapons of anger, manipulation, force, selfishness, pressure, arguments, combative words and attitudes, quarrels, and lying. Instead use God’s mighty weapons of prayer, praise, wisdom, right living, truth, and light.

A Front-Line Warrior 

You were created to be a front-line warrior: walking together with your sisters and brothers in Christ, pushing back the darkness, taking down strongholds, and moving forward in God’s power and strength!

God Almighty declares the word of the gospel with power, and the warring women of Zion deliver its message. Psalm 68:11
