Energized, Not Exhausted

faith rooted bible reading plans

Are you exhausted and with your upcoming schedule there doesn't seem to be time for a break?

Here are 4 tips for being ENERGIZED instead of EXHAUSTED:

  1. Continue to fill your heart with thankfulness. Being grateful will actually change the chemistry of your brain and you will sense the strength and peace in your body.
  2. Don't move from busy to hurried. Busy is related to your calendar while hurry is related to your soul. When you are busy you have a lot to do in a limited space of time. You have Zoom meetings, helping children with school, meals to prepare, and laundry to wash. Moving from busy to hurried is easy to do. Hurry has a sense of urgency and you speed up the rate of doing something. You move into a state of rushing which immediately brings you out of being present in the moment. If you stay hurried you will miss the precious memories of the holidays.
  3. Stick to your healthy eating plan 80% of the time. During the majority of each week, eat the healthy foods that fuel your body and make you look and feel better, then give yourself grace to indulge a few times.
  4. Give 15 minutes each morning to breathe in God's presence and read His Word. God's promise is to energize those who get tired and bring fresh strength to those who want to quit and dropout.

He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.

But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles. They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.
