Every place they went, they left the church stronger and more encouraged than before. Acts 15:41 TPT
It’s early Sunday morning – daybreak is just beginning to show on the horizon. Since I went to bed at 9:00 p. m. last night, getting up at 5:00 a. m. this morning wasn’t a problem! I have been enjoying these quiet hours with a cup of my favorite coffee (SF vanilla latte, almond/coconut milk, extra hot!) and reflecting on my weekend. I attended the Thrive conference Friday and Saturday – a women’s conference sponsored by BTG. I came home exhausted with my knees aching from all the walking and stairs I did in those two days. (I definitely accomplished my goal of 10,000 steps/day!) But I also came home STRONGER and more ENCOURAGED.
At the end of Acts 15, Paul and Silas head one direction, and Barnabas and Mark head another. Even though they had a heated argument which divided them and sent them in different directions, everyone of them still had a purposeful heart to fulfill God’s call on their lives. The church prayed for them and asked for the Lord’s favor on their ministry. And indeed, God did bless them. Every place then went, they left the church stronger and more encouraged than before.
Wherever your day brings you today – I pray that the Lord’s favor rests on you. I pray that the people you speak to and serve today are stronger and encouraged because of you. Life probably isn’t “perfect” for you, but you have the opportunity to be kingdom-minded and speak life to people. Your words really make a difference. Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24 NLT Leave those around you stronger and more encouraged because you were with them.
